Moreover, in ALMAVIVA operates a CyberLab dedicated to the evolution of CyberSec proprietary platforms, the design of prototypes and benchmarking of new solutions. Via ACSOC, ALMAVIVA aims to improve and evolve above mentioned frameworks to be adopted by its SOCs and used by its customers to enhance their operation capabilities, providing customers simple to use indicators about their security posture and improving their ability to communicate with other SOCs, CERTs and CSIRTs.

01 / The Romanian National Cyber Security
Directorate (DNSC)

The Romanian National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC) was established by the Emergency Ordinance 104/2021 and Law 11/2022, as a specialized body of the central public administration, under the authority of the Government and in the coordination of the Prime Minister, with legal personality, entirely financed from the state budget.

The main responsibility of DNSC is to ensure the cyber security of the national civilian cyberspace, in collaboration with the competent institutions and authorities.    At the national level, DNSC is the competent authority for the national civilian cyberspace, including the management of risks and cyber incidents. DNSC performs functions and responsibilities such as: The management function of projects and services for activities; Research and development; Strategy and planning; Cooperation and collaboration; Alerting, prevention, awareness, and training; National competent authority for regulation, supervision, and control; National CSIRT; Cyber security incident response team for IT products and services used in the government sector; National cyber security certification authority; Analysis and forecasting; Identification, evaluation, monitoring and mitigation of cyber risks at national level.  DNSC has prior experience and expertise in elaborating and implementing cyber security projects funded under EU programmes: Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, Digital Europe Programme, CEF Telecom, CEF Digital, European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Role in ACSOC project: DNSC   will develop synergies with other EU relevant projects, training and awareness activities, also being involved in effective definition of requirements, scenario definitions and in piloting of full-scale simulated cybersecurity incidents.

The SisInfLab (Information Systems Laboratory) is a research laboratory at the Polytechnic University of Bari, whose activities revolve around a common core: intelligent systems and smart data management.

All aspects related to Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, and Industrial Informatics constitute the fundamental knowledge base of the professors, PhD students, and research fellows affiliated with the laboratory. SisInfLab has access to the following internal resources: • 5 Full Professors; • 5 Associate Professors; • 9 Fixed-term Researchers; • 2 Postdoctoral Researchers; • 19 PhD Candidates; • 5 Research Fellows; • 1 Technical Assistant. The research group at SisInfLab has extensive expertise in all aspects related to Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, and Industrial Informatics. Integrating various branches of computer science to propose more intelligent software solutions, algorithms, and architectures is the main mission of SisInfLab. This is made possible by strong expertise in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Recommender Systems, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Semantic Web, Information Security and Human-Computer Interaction. Activities are conducted in facilities covering approximately 150 square meters, utilizing 30 Desktop Workstations, 15 High-Performance Servers, and a series of equipment for simulating key research scenarios, developing experimental prototypes, and performance measurement.
